Autostic Adhaesium- Machine Mounting Compound |
|
ADHAESIUM is a unique mounting system, which does not rely on bolting & grouting, and can be applied and used without destroying surface and floor slab integrity. It is intended for use to site and secure medium and heavy engineering machinery such as lathes, presses, punches etc. A major benefit of the use of ADHAESIUM is that equipment can be easily removed and re-sited, without detriment to either floor or machine base. For use on concrete floors. |

Additional Information |
Technical properties:
· Average breaking strain: 0.41 MPa
· Average shear stress: 1.02 MPa
Benefits of use:
· Ease of use
· Ready for use without preparation
· No premixing or substantial preparation prior to installation, thereby reducing
costs
· Does not require special tools or skills for installation
· No drilling or grouting required
· Installation times reduced
· Machinery can be easily removed and re-sited, without detriment to the
machine base and floors
· No heavy lifting machinery required to site plant and equipment in to place
· Suitable in situations where overhead lifting tackle is not available
· Positive machinery alignment with minimum effort
· Scientifically shown to reduce vibration and noise transmission, reducing
operator fatigue - with consequent benefits to production
· Water Based - Non toxic, low hazard
· Can withstand high operating temperature without detriment - suitable where
floor heating is installed |
|
Application |
Suitable for all types of medium to heavy machinery that require secure fixing - cut and fit strips under machinery base. For use on concrete floors. |
|
Curing |
Water based product. Will air dry. Curing time dependent on floor/substrate temperature and permeability. Typically 24 hours.
Instructions for use:
- The floor and base of the machine to be fixed should be grease free.
- Strips of ADHAESIUM should be cut to length; pulling material from centre of coil.
- The strips of compound must not overlap and should project about 12mm around machine base plate.
- The machine may be lowered directly onto compound or alternatively each edge of the machine may be prised up in turn and the compound laid underneath it.
- If the conditions in which the machine is required to operate are damp or wet the projecting edges of the compound should be covered with a sealer such as bitumen.
- The machine will be ready for use the next day but the compound continues to harden with time, making an immovable bond which cannot be broken, except by a sharp vertical lift with levers. When a machine is removed the floor is left undamaged and any remaining compound can be removed with boiling water. The resilience reduces vibration and noise.
